Aim: The aim of the Project is to effect legislative reform of the HRSO Act, especially the provisions allowing the creation of continuing detention orders and supervision orders, to limit its scope for indefinitely detaining individuals after their prison sentence

Purpose: The Project is focused on legislative reform of the High Risk Serious Offenders Act 2020 (WA) (‘HRSO Act’) to limit its capacity to indefinitely detain individuals. The Project will explore opportunities for effective reform of the HRSO Act to lead to positive outcomes for justice-involved individuals.
