P2: Semester 1, 2022 Project Announcement

We are excited to announce our second project team for Semester 2, 2022: First Nations and Data Sovereignty.

Our incredible team consists of Jessica Huynh (Team Leader), Ailish Dey, Connor O'Sullivan, Laura Walton and Olivia Trimboli.

By producing a roadmap on how FNDS can be achieved in a criminal justice context, the final report will assist the Wungening Aboriginal Corporation in their advocacy for FNDS.

The project is in partnership with the Wungening Aboriginal Corporation, and will be supervised by Louise Southalan, Wungening Project Manager for the Homelessness Research Project, and Lindey Andrews, Wungening Specialist Manager Research, Evaluation and Engagement. The team will be closely mentored by Dalveen Belyea and Amelia Arndt of Gilbert + Tobin.

The Project aims to develop a research report exploring the application of First Nations Data Sovereignty (FNDS) principles to the WA criminal justice system, with a focus on identifying and responding to legal issues associated with implementation of FNDS.

Keep up to date with our social media or subscribe to our newsletter for regular updates on the progress of the Project.
